4 Essential Tips on How to Learn Chinese Effectively: Where to start in 2020?

Learning Chinese Mandaring Online

Have you been interested in learning Mandarin Chinese recently, but have no idea how to start with it?

This article is for all beginners and learners who want to learn Chinese but don’t know quite how to start.

Enjoy it.

1. Determine if Learning Mandarin Chinese is Right for You

Chinese is a fun and exciting language to learn, with some spicy Mandarin curse words. But if the only language you speak is English, keep in mind that Chinese is going to be extra challenging.

So let’s face it, learning Chinese is not for everyone and it requires some natural talent and investing lots of time to become good at it.

So, to help you learn for yourself whether it worth investing your own time into learning this language, you can try taking a free online class with this online Chinese Schools – eChineseLearning.

With these free classes, you will get a first-hand look at what to expect when learning Mandarin Chinese under the instruction of a native speaker.

2. Find Some Chinese Learning Materials

Fulfilling your personal goals in learning Chinese will require much more than taking a course in Chinese.

You need many Chinese learning materials to help you do it.

They’ve gathered here what I consider the best free resources for learning Mandarin and put it on a separate page. I reckon you could learn Mandarin very effectively, for free, using only these resources.

You can click here to get them: Chinese learn materials

3. Start Speaking in Chinese

When you learn a foreign language you must learn more than just the vocabulary and grammar to communicate successfully in speech, you must pay more attention to pronunciation.

To help you practice proper pronunciation and correct your tones in Chinese mandarin, you can try speaking Chinese with native speaks.

Because native speakers can ensure you are pronouncing words correctly and help you transition from saying simple words and phrases to having basic conversations.

So if you want to learn Chinese recently, please look into what Chinese courses are available in your nearby area or consider one-on-one classes with a personal Chinese tutor online.

4. Feedback and Improve steadily

Now that you’ve got the materials and a basic understanding of tones, it’s time to get to work practicing.

Start with 30 minutes of studying Chinese per day. You want to study only as long as you are having fun and enjoying the process.

The more you study, the faster you will improve. But the more you enjoy studying, the more you will study.

But in my opinion, it is far better to do 30 minutes a day than to do 3 hours in a single sitting once a week and risking burnout.

As we said before, the best way we recommend you to practice Chinese is to do speak with native people, such as a native Chinese language teacher.

A professional teacher will help you correct your words pronunciation mistakes and improve your self-discipline in learning.

Besides, practicing speaking mandarin may be difficult and uncomfortable to do regularly, especially if you’re not proud of how your Mandarin sounds. Nevertheless, it’s very much a necessity.

How else will you be able to hear your progress if you don’t practice speaking?

The last thing we want to tell you is there is no shortcut to learning a foreign language.

You should be consistent in how you learn.

We need to learn the right tones, grammar, and speaking Chinese by practicing and training repeatedly. Once you find a method of learning, stick to it.

By sticking to a regular routine, you are more likely to remember what you have learned and can expand your knowledge of Chinese with new content.

The roots of education are bitter but the fruit is sweet.
