Being a famous resort and a historical city with secular traditions fused with modernity and technology, this place can’t be underestimated.
Thanks to its geographical situation, living here you won’t have to survive cold winters and snowfalls.
The Ningbo climate is quite hot and humid: in January the temperature doesn’t go below 1 C (34 F), however, in summer it often surpasses 30 C (86 F).
That’s why they never turn the air conditioning off during July and August.
Plus, warm seasons tend to get the most of the year’s rainfall, so don’t walk out without your umbrella!
Compared to some huge Chinese cities, Ningbo seems to be rather small.

We all know the main reasons why so many people want to teach English abroad: it’s the cheapest way to discover a new culture, get to learn the language... and eat authentic local food!
In Ningbo, you won’t starve, because everything is so delicious and not as adventurous as you might imagine. Here are a few highly recommended dishes: steamed buns with fresh meat, the Xikou cake with 27 layers and dried bamboo!
